Who is Northern Roof Tiles

If you have never considered using clay roof tiles because of assumed cost, the compatibility with the style of homes, building your design or build, or the suitability for use in your environment? If you had assumed all clay roof tiles were red, Mediterranean in profile and only suitable for use in the Sunbelt.

Northern is a family owned importer of clay roofing tiles primarily from Europe. Stuart founded the business in 1991, so this year we will celebrate our 34th anniversary, which makes Northern Roof Tiles one of the oldest established importers of clay roof tiles in North America.

What We Do

From the beginning, our goal has been to offer the widest selection of clay tile profiles, shapes, sizes, colors, and textures—sourcing from multiple top tile makers to give you true design freedom. We make specifying and purchasing easy, with installation guidelines, material take-offs, and access to trusted installers across North America. And yes—every tile we sell is ASTM-tested and approved for all climates.

With over 50 years in the industry, Stuart brings deep knowledge of clay tile manufacturing, sales, and installation—experience now shared with his sons, Adam (33 years) and Simon (25 years), our reps, and our clients, helping ensure each project gets the expertise, personal service, and attention it deserves.
