Ketley and Dreadnought create their natural shades, by delicate control of the kiln atmosphere known as ‘reduction firing’.
They don’t add any surface staining or pigments, colors are created by controlling the burn, just as they have for the past 215 years
These colors will last the lifetime and will not fade as it’s fired into the body rather than applied as a surface coating.

BRICK SLIPS
Ketley Brick’s range of extruded brick slips eliminate the need and the cost to cut down regular bricks and are prefect for pre-fabricated panels of cladding situations. They also have only 30% of the embodied carbon of a traditional brick but remain highly durable, sustainable and cost effective for construction.
Ketley Brick Slips are made from the same clay, using the same processes as Ketley’s Class A Engineering bricks and Dreadnoughts Roof Tiles, giving you the same low water absorption, high strength and unrivaled weather protection.
Terrific for the authentic brick look in both external and internal applications. The colors are created in the firing without the use of surface pigments or artificial stains.
